1. Lt Gen PS Bhagat Memorial Lecture in collaboration with USI and Bombay Engineer Group and Centre (BEG) Pune - 14 Jun 2023

The United Service Institution of India (USI) in collaboration with Bombay Engineer Group and Centre (BEG) Pune, organised first Lt Gen PS Bhagat Memorial Lecture at the ‘Ashoka Convention Hall’ Manekshaw Centre. The lecture was delivered by General VP Malik, PVSM, AVSM (Retd), former Chief of the Army Staff, on the topic “Legacy of Lt Gen Prem Bhagat – A Visionary and Strategic Leader”. General Manoj Pande, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Army Staff graced the occasion

2. Enhancing Security Cooperation in and with Asia (ESIWA) Seminar on “Women, Peace and Security in Peacekeeping Operations” - 23 Mar 2023

Enhancing Security Cooperation in and with Asia (ESIWA), organised a seminar on ‘Women, Peace and Security in Peacekeeping Operations’ at USI. The delegation from European Union Member States, namely, Ambassador of Latvia to India, H.E. Mr Juris Bone; Ambassador of Lithuania to India, H.E. Ms Diana Mickevi?ien?; Deputy Head of Mission in Embassy of Ireland to India, Ms Elaine Kennedy; First Counsellor, Head of Political Affairs of EU to India, Mr Christophe Manet and well-recognised individuals from various universities, think tanks and international organisations participated in the seminar.

3. Joint USI- Assam Rifles Major Bob Khathing Memorial Lecture – 23 Dec 2022

Assam Rifles in collaboration with USI of India organised the Annual Assam Rifles Major Bob Khathing Memorial Lecture at the United Service Institution (USI) of India. Lt Gen Rana Pratap Kalita, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding – in – Chief, Eastern Command will be the Guest Speaker and will be speaking on the topic “Leveraging North East Region for Enhancing Peace and Stability and Furthering India’s Act East --Policy”.

4. USI-ARTRAC Joint Seminar on “Strategic Communication & Information Domain” – 04 Mar 2022

A joint ARTRAC-United Service Institution of India (USI) Seminar was held on 04 March 2022 from 1000 hours to 1700 hours at USI. The theme of the Seminar was “Strategic Communications and the Information Domain”. The welcome address was given by Maj Gen B K Sharma, AVSM, SM** (Retd), Director, USI and the keynote address was delivered by Lt Gen Raj Shukla, PVSM, YSM, SM, ADC, GOC-in-C, ARTRAC. The Seminar had two panel discussions. The first panel discussion was on the topic “Strategic Communication” and was moderated by Maj Gen Jagatbir Singh, VSM (Retd). The speakers included Maj Maroof Raza (Retd) who spoke on the topic “A suggested Approach for Strategic Communications in India”. Further, Mr. Nitin Gokhale spoke about “the Global Metrics and Trends” and Mr. Shekhar Gupta spoke about “Indian Infosphere: A Status Audit”. The second panel discussed the topic of “Information Domain” and was moderated by Lt Gen Sanjiv Langer, PVSM, AVSM (Retd). The speaker, Dr Herb Lin spoke about “The Military and Social Media Leveraging” which was followed by a presentation by Prof (Dr) Sreeram Sunder Chaulia on “Technology and Information Dominance”. The final speaker was Lt Gen S A Hasnain, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM** (Retd) who spoke about “A possible Strategy/Road Map in India”. This was followed by a question-answer session and the vote of thanks was given by Maj Gen Jagatbir Singh, VSM (Retd).

5. USI-Amity University U.P. (AUUP Joint Global Virtual Seminar on the topic “Asian Resurgence: Strategic Rebalancing and New Geo-political Challenges” – 27 Jul 2022

Amity University U.P. (AUUP) in collaboration with USI organised a Joint Global Virtual Seminar on the topic “Asian Resurgence: Strategic Rebalancing and New Geo-political Challenges” scheduled at USI o. The speakers from USI side were Maj Gen BK Sharma, AVSM, SM** (Retd), Director USI, Vice Admiral Satish Soni, PVSM, AVSM, NM (Retd), Mr Rishan De Silva, Executive Director of the Geopolitical Cartographer, Colombo, Sri Lanka and Mr Andrew Yang, Secretary General of the Chinese Council of Advanced Policy Studies (CAPS), Taiwan
