Assam Rifles Chair

Assam Rifles is the oldest Para Military force in India. It has a unique distinction of having vast experience in various forms of operations in areas ranging from J&K, Sikkim and the entire Northeast. Keeping pace with the changing paradigm the force is transforming itself to meet the futuristic challenges. Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, PVSM, AVSM, SM**, the then Director General, Assam Rifles therefore instituted the Assam Rifles Chair of Excellence in the year 2020.
