Upon the establishment of the Centre for Military History and Conflict Studies and according to its charter, Maharana Pratap Chair fellowship chair was established. The vision for the establishment of the Chair of Excellence was to further the goals of CMHCS in the field of research of military history while fulfilling the vision for the future as stated in the charter.
