Internship Programmes-Guidelines


USI-CS3 conducts an intensive one-month internship biannually in May/June and December. Registration opens a month before the internship commences. The Internship Capsule is a standout feature, comprising expert-led lectures on diverse subjects like Research Methodology, Geo-politics, Security, and Foreign Policy. During the course, students are tasked with writing a focused research paper of about 2500 words on their chosen subject. The selected few research papers will be part of a book. The key features of a USI internship are:
(a) Exposure to “Research Methodology” and “Contemporary Issues”.
(b) Lectures on international and national security and strategic issues conducted by subject experts, which include Ambassadors, academicians, Military officers & Police.
(c) The Interns would be writing articles on contemporary issues under the supervision of an eminent expert.
(d) On completion, the interns are expected to present their papers to the panel of experts for an in-depth interaction and value addition to their research paper before an internship certificate is issued to them.
(e) The selected few articles would be a part of a book. We have already published two books containing articles written by students from Christ, Jindal, Symbiosis, PDPU, Delhi University, etc. 
(f) During their internship, the participants are also exposed to Interactive Sessions/Role Play on contemporary issues like Indian Ocean Geostrategies.
(g) The students would be participating in all USI activities - Seminars/Workshops/Round Table Discussions/Guest Lectures, etc., and they would also be penning articles for USI’s Digital Magazine ‘Strategic Perspective and USI Blog’.
Anyone who is pursuing their bachelor/master/PhD and interested in learning the above topics can enrol in the USI-CS3 internship.
