- CHATRAPATI SHIVAJI CHAIR Upon the establishment of the Centre for Military History and Conflict Studies and according to its charter, Chhatrapati Shivaji fellowship chair was established. The vision for the establishment of the Chair of Excellence was to further the goals of CMHCS in the field of research of military history while fulfilling the vision for the future as stated in the charter.

- USI-WWF CHAIR OF EXCELLENCE The War Wounded Corporation was incorporated in Aug 2002 for creating long term avenues for the financial independence of all war disabled personnel of the Armed Forces.USI and War Wounded Foundation has undertaken joint activities to further the aims and objectives of WWF by conducting research in diverse aspects of rehabilitation of war disabled personnel of the Armed Forces.
