The United Service Institution of India was founded in 1870 by a soldier scholar, Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. The story of its growth is the story of the growth of the Indian Armed Forces. It was founded for ‘furtherance of interest and knowledge in the art, science and literature of the Defence Services.’

PROJECT STUDY ON COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT OF CHINA-2035

The study conducts a diagnostic assessment of China’s ‘Comprehensive National Power- 2035’, examines its implication for India and suggests a strategic response to address prevailing power asymmetry vis-à-vis China. The critical areas of focus include Comprehending China’s national interest, strategic objectives, intent, and strategic behavior in the post COVID 19 era. Additionally, it undertakes a 360o horizon scan of China’s internal and external environment and evaluates the impact of the China-Pakistan nexus.
